Hi,
I work for a recruitment company and have used various 3rd party tools in the past to extract pdf cv's into Word. Traditionally 3rd party products have failed with more trickier pdf's, so it fails to create the exact layout as in the pdf and takes a while to recreate the page layout in Word. Does anyone have any experience of trying to extract more complex pdf's and does this product work?
Also are there any limits on the number of exports that you can do a day?
Do Adobe store copies of the documents on their servers?
Thanks in advance for answers/feedback.
Good day,
Going to try to address each of your questions:
1) If the PDF file already contains renerdable (selectable) text, most users find that unchecking the OCR option (Recognize scanned text in:) will help with more complex documents.
2) There are no limites to the number of exports you can do in a day. There is a 100MB file size limitation for upload to the ExportPDF service and you can only process one conversion at a time.
3) Adobe does not store copies of your documents on our servers with the ExportPDF service. As soon as a file conversion is complete, the PDF file is purged. As soon as the converted document is downloaded, it too is purged from our server. If you convert a document, but do not download the conversion and log out of the tool, you will have to convert the document again as all documents are only stored within the session.
Please let us know if you have any questions!
Kind regards,
David
