Is there a way to introduce interactivity into the MSO bleed bug?

I purposfully want to take advantage of the bug whereby an MSO that bleeds off the page shows on the previos page as a static / sticky object, however i cant seem to get any interactivity out of the MSO, ideally i want the first state to contain a button that would then show the second state (that being a menu for navigation)

I konw there is a work around where i can make the whole page a scrollable frame, with another MSO above that, but i need to scroll A LOT of items .. and this becomes slightly impractical and doesn't satisfy my curiosity.
