I have created two separate video project in Premiere Pro CS4, when I export via dynamic link to Encore one exports with both video and audio, the second only exports video and no audion. However, when i look at the properties of the asset the Media Category indicates video & audio. Any suggestions?
Lots more information needed for anyone to help... starting with your source video and going on to your project settings
Read Bill Hunt on a file type as WRAPPER http://forums.adobe.com/thread/440037
What is a CODEC... a Primer http://forums.adobe.com/thread/546811
What CODEC is INSIDE that file? http://forums.adobe.com/thread/440037
Report back with the codec details of your file, use the programs below... a screen shot works well to SHOW people what you are doing
If you have a red line over the timeline after importing a video and before adding any effects... your project is wrong for your video... read above about codecs
Once you know exactly what it is you are editing, report back with that information... and your project setting, and if there is a red line above the video in the timeline, which indicates a mismatch between video and project
H.264 will NOT work inside an AVI wrapper http://forums.adobe.com/thread/854115

Just FYI, when you reply via email you might want to remove your auto-signature. It puts you email on the web.
Would a mod please delete these; I'm sure Allen is here for help and not trolling for spammers!
Okay I will try that, is the .mpa audio file not playable in Encore? I have played the .mpa in Windows Media Palyer and it plays fine. When I try to play it in Encore that is no sound. Are we missing a very simple setting in Encore that has been set Off or On?
I have found the problem – the PPro on my PC is not working right. I took the files to another computer that has PPro and was able to use the dynamic link to Encore and audio was present. So I will have to reinstall CS4 on my laptop.
Thank you for all your help and suggestion, I learned a lot!
