rolling credits "flickering"

My rolling credits are "flickering" -- does anyone know why this is happening, and how to fix?*

    Welcome to the forum.

     

    Did you fit the credits title clip into your video by changing the speed/duration of the clip?  If so, don't do that.  Just trim it in or out to make it fit.

    Drat.  Yes, I wanted to slow it down, so I lengthened the duration to achieve that.  Bad move, eh?  Now I just need to figure out what you mean by "trim in" or "trim out." ;-)  I'm a beginner, but having lots of fun!

    Jeff, I read all of the "More Like This" posts, and most are saying that the flickering problem is a bug in CS5, which has been fixed in the lastest update.  Howeve -- I am using CS4, and still encountering the problem.  Can you explain what you mean by "just trim it in or out to make it fit?"  I would like to try that, but I can't seem to find anywhere that explains how to do it.

    shorten or lengthen it manually on the timeline like a still. Do not adjust speed\duration controls.

    Actually, that is what I did in the first place -- I manually stretched the title like a still, to cause it to roll more slowly, and it flickers in playback, as well as after I burned it to bluray.  Perhaps it's just not that smooth of a roll.

    Some other ideas:

    • Are you using a Serif font?  The thin edges of the font can cause flickering.  It's best to always use a Sans Serif font.
    • Does the frame size of the title match the frame size of the sequence?
    • Provide some more information about your project.  Important items listed here:
