master page items move on preview

May 2, 2012 9:49 AM

Hi

Having trouble with master page items. The master page previews fine but pages based on the master page do not. My menu bar drops to the bottom of the page. Guessing it is something I missed but........can't find or rebuild pat it.

thanks

Kim

Thank you for uploading the images Kimsmuse,

I had a look at the images and I am not able to figure out exactly why the content is moving.

Please provide me with the screenshot of the design mode of the Master page so that I can verify the settings in it.

    Regards,

    Rajan

Thank you for the screenshot Kim,

After having a look at the images it seems that we need to take a look into the file for this site.

Please send the muse file for this site to muse-support@adobe.com. Also please put in the link for this forum. We would investigate on the file and let you know the fix fo rit.

    Thank you,

    Regards,

    Rajan

at a glance, it looks like it may have something to do with pinning. take a look at this video and see if it helps you.

    Hi,

The opaque rectangle and the large image on the Master are causing this problem. Ideally the browser background should be created by setting a background image in the Browser Fill (the drop down in the control strip when the page is selected). Unfortunately that won't allow for the image to stretch with the background, as it does now.

We've fixed the ordering issue for upcoming versions of Muse, but in order to have a workaround now you'll have to switch to using the Browser Fill drop down with your background image
