PDF spot color problem.  Need to be viewed only in CMYK and saved.

I have a pdf that has a spot color.  I made the spot color in photoshop using Channels.  All my graphics show the spot uv shade ontop of them.  How do I make a copy for the web where I only want people to see the cmyk.  I can view it in acrobat by going to output preview and clicking off my spot color plate.  It looks great.  I have no way of saving it that way.  When i save it without that plate clicked it opens up with the plate still visiable.  How do i save a version without that plate to just view cmyk?

A PDF file cannot save ink visibility as part of the initial view, nor can it be controlled by scripts within the file. The only way to achieve this effect will be to remove the spot channel from your document in the original authoring application  and export a new PDF.

Without trying it, what about a layer for the spot channel?, with the layer visibility off...
