No, look I have firefox 3.6.28 and when I go up to adobe it always goes to flash player 10.3.183.18. It may be because it's a older model but I will not upgrade untill they do not support it anymore. And if I use opera it takes me to a link that says operating system, and download flash 11 for other browersers. It doesn't say the rest of the version. So I need a link for a 32 bit flash download for other browsers. I can download IE I think. they have done this before here with no problem. Thanks. Ps i saw a link at another post but itdidn't say it was for what ever is the most current version of flash so i'm being safe.

someone at Adobe has to try to download flash - the download times out - it has been timing out for some time now - at least a week or more. Problem has nothing to do with installing flash - we just can't download the software. Try it for yourself. Somebody fix it please.

Same problem with reader - had to switch to foxit because I couldn't get adobe software downloaded.

I have just downloaded all four Flash Player installers from the link I posted above; each of them took less than 1 second to fully download.

I also just downloaded Adobe Reader from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ - it took about 8 seconds to complete the download.

Note that I am about 8,000km away from the Adobe/Akamai download servers.

You know what either you guys don't understand that I do not have a problem installing flash or your confused. One link takes me flash install problems??? And the other takes me adobe reader???? I'm not asking about a install problems or adobe reader, I was asking for a link for flash 32 bit for other browsers because firefox takes me to the wrong flashplayer a old version and opera does not tell me the total version of the flash that will be installed. it only says for other browesrs flah 11. I guess this is the wrong site to get a direct link for flash. I have done this in the past and been helped. I guess it won't happen again. If someone understands please provide a link or i'll gamble with the opera link.

ok now i think I have a problem i installed falsh in IE8 and the background updater came up. But when i installed flash for other browesers the updater did not come up. It did install.But nothing else came up like the install of IE8. Why? Do I now have to keep updating the other browsers? Before you ask, I'm not uninstalling flash because it's working so fine. I just hate updating flash every month. I gambled and used the link for opera that said operating system, flash 11 for other browsers. I should have waited? but you guys seem confused as to what i was asking for and I always try to stay current asap, not counting firefox. I keep reading this and I hope i don't come off as rude because i always get help here and that's why I come back. Again flash works fine in opera and firefox but "it did not give me that second step which says install updates automatically?

This is under Install in a firewall proxy server environment in the Installation Problems document.

What versions of Flash Player do you have now installed? Please check in the Control Panel's Flash Player appled (Advanced tab).

P.S. the Adobe Reader link I posted earlier was in response to the other poster's complaint that all Adobe downloads time out.

Look I'm just asking a question now that I had to use the other browsers download in opera. Why didn't the updater page show up? It was there in the install of intenet explorer.Nothing was blocked, the install went fine as far as the flash working. But I had no option of the back ground installer which makes me think it didn't instal.l This install skipped the second part . I have in both browsers version 11.2.202.223. There is nothing in install problems guide on the background updater not showing up on the install because this is a brand new process. As it says by default the back ground updater comes up? It did not. Do i try to install again or just leave it alone? I tried to click on it the flash player and the only option i was given was to uninstall it. I'm not doing that. I'm good if i have to wait to the next version and try again. It does work fine. This hasn't happened before to anyone?

No I don't like the idea of uninstalling all the flash players which would be for internet explorer,firefox,opera and google chrome unless I have to. If I wait and install the next new version of flash will these errors effect the install? And should it give me the second page of the background updater if everything in the install works ok? If these errors won't effect the install I'll wait. If yes then maybe I'll give it a shot. I just have a funky, troubled computer and less is better if possible. Some times trying something like a uninstall of flash can trigger another problem. Not infected. thanks

No the first time the background updater came up was this verson on internet explorer. I would love not to have to manually install flash. And i'm sure that I will have to infirefox because the updater didn't come up. However if i had a flash problem where things were not working right or something else, then i would think of a clean install. Since everything seems fine as far as flash is working I guess i'll leave it alone. Do you know if the errors you saw in the instalation will effect the install of the next version? because maybe a I pick it up on the next install. And i ask for direct links because firefox shows this version as my upgrade 10.3.183.19. So I have to update with opera which doesn't show the full version.It just shows version 11.

It is my experience that the updater comes up twice: the first time for IE, then an hour later for the plugin.

Depending on how busy the servers are, the updater may not succeed at the first try.

If you don't get updated within a few days, please post your FlashInstall.log file again.

Wait are you saying that the updater option comes up in a couple of days? Because I've already updated to the newest flash. Also i thought that it would come up like the install of internet explorers flash. When updating flash with internet explorer on my computer and my daughters the update option came up in the install. Thought that it would come up just like the install of IE in firefox. Thanks i'll wait and see. Should i post the log here or start a new topic because the log is already posted?

The updater will automatically run every hour, but may not be able to download the update when the servers are too busy. You will not see anything when the updater runs (it runs completely silent in the background).

You can use this same topic to post the new log file.
