Spry menu works in Firefox and Safari, but not Internet Explorer 6, 7, or 8

Our school website is doing a re design and in the adobebrowser test lab it looks great in all browsers except for IE 6, 7, & 8. Some of our faculty and staff are still running 7 or 8, so that's why I need to find a fix. For some reason it puts my last menu item underneath the first one which throws the whole thing off, but it's the exact way I want it on all other browsers. Using Dreamweaver CS5.

    Something has gone awry here but afer that, I'm not sure what to advise:

    First off, you aren't supposed to have a <div> nested in an <li>.

     

    I also think that the whole unordered list there might  be poorly  formed.

    The website is a template, and I wanted a drop down menu like our current website, so I took out the menu they had on the template because it wasn't a drop down menu, and put in the spry one. Like I said it does fine on the every browser except for IE 6, 7, and 8. Any ideas? Is there something different I can use instead of Spry that will give me a drop down menu?

    Change to the highlighted value

        text-align:center;

        line-height:1.4em;

        color:#000000;

        background-color:#f9f9f9;

        padding: 0px 15px 0px 35px;

        width: 10em;

        width:auto;

    Changed to the highlighted value, but still have a bar at the bottom, it's not rounded like everything else. Any ideas?

    Play with the highlighted value, start with something like 30px.

    I've played with the values, but not as concerned about the bar at the bottom now as I am that none of the drop down menu items show up on anything under internet explorer 9.0, so I am at a total lost.
