My nudge increments increase on files after a while.

My nudge increments change on files after a while.  They are fine when I first start, but then the increment increases after a few times opening and editing a file. If I go into preferences it still shows the same amount of increment, but it nudges much larger.  I am using Illustrator 5.5 on a PC. 3.46GHz Intel Xeon, 24 GB memory, 64-bt OS.

    Yeah, probably some keyboard buffer issue. I've seen this in the past. usualyl depends on some operating system setting and many times wil leventualyl disappear afer some updates. Simply restart the app when ever it begins occuring...
