Lightroom 4 Crashes

Hi

i recently bought lr 4 from the online store. I work in a big photographic studio and we use lightroom 4 every day for the pre post-production.

We usually process over 1000+ images in 3-4 hours and we never got any problem with the previous LR versions.

 

Now using the newer version we get random crashes every 10-30 images. You can imagine that's a big issue for us...

 

Our system is composed by:

asus p5q mainboard

intel quad 9300

8gb ram ( geil black 8500 )

128gb SSD crucial M4

ati 3400HD

windows 7 ( updated ) professional 64bit

2x monitor 1280x1040 ( 1 photographic )

 

images are stored in a secondary hard disk ( not SSD, it's a wd green 1.5T ).

    Like I know, working with two monitores crash LR like posted in German LR-Forum. Try LR 4.1 RC2. You gan download it at Adobe Labs.

    I hope it works :-)

    I'm seeing the SAME PROBLEM.. LR4, 10.6.8 iMac, 2 monitors.

    I can't systematically crash LR 4,.. but pretty darn close.

    If I'm cloning dustspots out,.. at one point the whole mac crashes as if I pulled the plug.

    This only happens with LR. It never happend in previous regions.

     

    Any solutions found so far?

     

    As anyone can imagine, this is really frustrating... Reminds me of the scene in Avatar when they pull the plug on uplink and the body just collapses to the ground.

    Hello Adobe,

     

    I am a long time customer of Adobe.  I use the Photoshop Suit.  I've been working with the demo version of LR4 and I am very disappointed.


    #1  There seems to be a memory issue (out of memory errors on a QuadCore 4gig machine running CS5.5 with no issues)

     

    #2  There seems to be an indexing issue similar to the original PhotoShop CS Bridge where the PC craws to a halt when you have a large databse of photos (CS 5.5 works fine)

     

    #3  LR 4 crashes often where PS CS 5.5 never crashes.  I have lost valuable time trying to recreate my photo edits due to LR 4 crashes

    I saw the crashes using the "spot correction" tool, cropping, and doing basic adjustments like rotating a photos.

     

    I am using the latest version of LR  4.1

     

    I started with LR 4, upgraded to LR 4.1 beta, and then 4.1 and I am still having perfomance issue where I do not have them with PS.
