I assume this began after an Adobe Reader update, since I took no action that would have caused the problem. Every time I receive an email with a PDF attachment, when I attempt to open it, it triggers Microsoft Media Center, which onlybegan happening in the last few weeks. I've never used MMC, and I disabled all four files as directed. Every PDF email attachment, however, converts the PDF icon to the MMC icon and triggers the now disabled software. I have to copy each attachment, paste to my desktop and open with the "Open with..." command, selecting Adobe. This is incredibly wasteful and irritating. MMC is entirely worthless, far as I can see.
Has anyone had a similar problem? If so, do you know how to resolve it and ensure all PDF attachments in email arrive as PDFs?
