I upgraded to a Windows 7 64 bit PC and upgraded my CS to 5.5 at the same time. If I try to create a PDF I get the error message "conversion process failed. Correct error and retry." What's the error I am to correct? I also can't print to PDF either.
Try to repair Acrobat by launching the application and choosing Help > Repair Acrobat Installation.
If that doesn't resolve the issue, a few questions:
Thank you for responding.
I did run the "Repair Acrobat Installation" but unfortunately it didn't fix the problem.
I've tired to create a PDF in the program directly (Adobe Acrobat X Pro) in which the "Create PDF" function which didn't work. It goes to about 5% complete and then the error message comes up.
I can then run the "Repair...", complete a shutdown as needed and then print one time (only) from a Word or Excel document. I can't print to a PDF when it's selected as a printer in Word and Excel documents after that initial time.
I can print to a PDF from Notepad successfully.
Any help you can give me with this is much appreciated.
Have you updated your AAX? The updates are particularly important for 64-bit systems. I think the latest AAX update also works with OFFICE 2010, 64-bit, if you have that version. Then the update is also critical. There may be a chance you have to revert to the 32-bit version of OFFICE, but I am not sure.
