Serious problem with captivate printing

Hi I wonder if anyone can help me, I've set up a course that worked fine and printed out a certificate beautifully - then I had to tweak a page and since then I can't print out the full name on the certificate, it only prints out part of the name.  Does anyone know a solution to this problem, I've looked every where in Captivate to see if I can find a text limit on the input field but can't find any - please help!

 

I've tried Adobe support but they are impossible to get hold of unless you pay wads of money! it seems they are unwilling to offer any kind of help

    How many characters does it print? Is it a Text Caption with an inserted variable? I'm asking this because the default length of an inserted variable is 15 characters. To change that you'll have to reinsert the var and change its length:

    I know that this is very annoying. Moreover if you insert a second variable in the same Text Caption the default length is often '0' which means that it will not display. Have introduced this bug already multiple times, still not fixed.
