hide pages with replaced artwork.

I have a form which was converted from doc to pdf.  I have begun adding logic to the form.  However I cannot seem to hide the pages.   Using   Page.presence = "hidden"   is not working.  I know there are a lot of issues with forms that have been converted from doc but I do not see why hidding a page should be a problem.  Afterall is'nt the Page seen as an Object?
