When href target is changed to new html file; the link won't work within the F12 browser check?

The web site is a java animated site.  

 

This link works fine:   <li><a href="index-2.html">Technologies</a></li>

This link doesn't:          <li><a href="index-2a.html">Technologies</a></li>

 

The index-2a file was created from the index-2 file to make changes to it.

 

When I state the link works fine, it means that after pressing F12 to bring up the home page, and then clicking on the above link in the home page it works FINE.

 

After the change, it doesn't work.

 

It is wierd as hell  . . . .there has to be a logical explanation that I'm just not seeing.

    Did you refresh your browser Ctrl+R?  If using Chrome, try clearing your browser's cache.

    Thank you for your reply.   Just tried Control+R and no effect.   The link still won't work.   Using IE Version 9.

     

    Also tried Recreating Site Cache several times, just for giggles . . .anyway no luck.

     

    Mind boggling . . . four hours on this . . . yes, I am persistent, there will be an answer!!

    Must be something else.  Upload your test page to server and post a link for us to see.

    Thanks again for your suggestion.   Wasn't thinking and loaded the two pages to our company's existing web site. .. but, the jquery, css sheets, etc are all different . . .geeez, what a dumbo . . .anyway, a bit too much trouble.

     

     

     

    And YES the links work, no problem.

     

    Of course all the styling, formatting is not there, but the links appear to be working.

     

    so now i'm thinking somehow it's related to the dependent files . . .

     

    Anyway, thanks Nancy for giving this a try . . not quite sure what I will do at this point . . .
