Re:help to recreate template and reattach to site

My company upgraded from DW MX4 to DW8. After the update I discovered the site's default template (default.dwt) was missing from the Templates folder under the Assets section of the site. Have been able to update the child pages. Now need to make changes to the default template page. How do you make a new default.dwt and reattach it to some 150+child pages throughout the site? Thank you.

Thank you for the link. Following the procedures was able to restore the DW8 template for my agency's Intranet site. Do appreciate your help.
