Who's messing with the site and why?

Is it my imagination or is someone experimenting with the typography on this site?

It seems to have altered twice today, first slightly and now drastically for the worse.

 

A new letter font has crept in which has almost illegible bold type.

 

Why mend what wasn't busted?

Any comments anyone?

    Hi Steve, supposedly it is a good thing, Adobe is "improving" the forums looks and performance. Visits the forum Comments or this thread to learn more about it

    They have addressed an issue that has bugged a lot of users on the forum in the past and that is they have removed the points and now there is no hope for free popcorn…

     

    However if you are memebr of the Film Forum, not an Adobe affiliate, then you get free popcorn when you make 6 purchases at the concession bar if you are member so there is still hope!

     

    I see nothing wrong with the clean look is fine beter typography and the helvetica is working well as far as legibility goes.

     

    I think they shpould still allow a user or the OP to mark a thread that has helped them solved their issue.

    "Legend" on the right still indicates points, they're just not showing who has how many. Stealth popcorn.

    Oh ou meaan the are still in the process of updating it?

     

    There's no such thing as stealth popcorn…and it's no joking matter either!

    According to that thread, I want to understand that most of the missing things are coming back, among other things, the number of post was very useful to identify newcomers...the way I answer usually depends on the recipients level and/or familiarity with this forum.

    Wow...  This is pretty hideous.

     

    The points were redeemable for meatballs and popcorn.  Presumably if they are removed, the quality of support we provide will return to the levels known only in the days before the Jive.

    Steve, others,

     

    Now we just need to have slightly thicker lines to separate posts and to get rid of the waste of space to the right so the posts can fill all the available space.

     

    We may be getting there.

    That bold type is still horrible. Not good for screen use.

    Thicker lines between posts too; agree with Jacob.

     

    Don´t see much point in "Was this helpful?". If it was you would just click on Helpful. If it wasn't you wouldn't.

    On the other hand "Was this entertaining? would be much more to the point.

    And when are they rolling out the update with the Facebook "like" buttons?

     

    Agreed with Steve - the bold font is awful.

     

    I think there's too much space in the index page - It feels like there's only half as many posts as there used to be on a page.

    Well layout here is completely hosed. I don't see any bold font anywhere, but I do see huge misalignments and odd text placement. -- as if the CSS file is broken.

    Have they no training in graphic design?

    There was very little wrong with the typography before things were messed up.

    Everything was clear and legible and the site was easy to navigate on.

     

    And where is the button to go back to where you were after you post? Seems to have disappeared.
