orient to path, sync and snap

May 6, 2012 4:35 PM

Hello there. I am new to using Flash. I am folllowing a tutorial on animating using motion guides. Everything was going well until I was asked to go to the property inspector and tick the orient to path, sync and snap boxes. Well I have hit Ctrl+F3 and this brings up the properties panel but alas. there are no orient to path, sync and snap boxes. I have attached a screen shot. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong ?flash prt scrn.jpg

Do you know if the tutorial is written using an older version of Flash?  I am unable to find what you say you are looking for, though I remember it being where they say to look in older versions.

If you want to have the object follow the motion path, first add a keframe at the end in the star layer and place that instance of the star near the end of the path.  Move the first frame of the star near the start of the path.  Then right click star in the first frame and choose Create Classic Tween.  If it works, it will glue the star to the path and you you have the animation.
