Forum layout problem?

May 7, 2012 7:03 AM

Is anyone else having problems with the forum layout? Mine suddenly changed a day or so back, and is missing tabs, and there is some text overlap (see encircled text in image).

I had DPReview go weird on me some months back, and strangely, when I asked on that forum, only other people in New Zealand were having the same problem. In fact it might have been people using the same ISP as me.

You're still using old CSS files. Just refresh your browser cache.

SHIFT-clicking on the refresh button may be all you need to do.

I dunno, I dumped my Firefox cache and this still looks awful - esp the day glow bold blue subject type. It does not appear crisp at all and is very hard on the eyes. Hard to believe that this is the same company that sucked all the even useful color (there he goes with that 'red x' again) out of CS6's UI...

I did not mean to imply that it would not look awful (but it shows a clear difference over TD's initial screen shot that was stuck on the old CSS).

I was surprised they would take it offline during the day today, or even risk the upgrade yesterday, given that Photoshop CS6 is being released today.

I can't say I think it looks much worse, but I think it WORKS worse than its predecessor - primarily because of missing or broken features...

    • Who is a given response a reply to?
    • Where's the "Advanced Editor" link?
    • How many posts has a member made?
    • Why is the font different in the editor than when the message is posted?
    • Who thinks medium blue on medium gray is good?
    • Did stuff really need to be spaced out more?
    • Is it me or did the font get smaller?

We're still discovering "interesting" problems that need quick solutions.

(in addition to just general bad design that needs a less urgent fix)

There are active topics on this in the forum discussion area, and we should probably keep the discussions there where the admins will see them.
