I really like the "summary report" feature.
Is it possible to filter responses based on a response choice from a single item and to display this subset of data in the "summary report"? Or must it be exported to Excel?
I can see that in "view responses" the data can be represented in many ways. But not in the graphic report? Is that a feature of the Basic or Plus account?
Similarly, is it possible to cross-tabulate?
The summary report currently cannot be filtered like the response tab. You would have to export the data out to Excel to do that.
We also do not support any type of cross-tabulation.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
I forgot to mention there is a workaround (though it isn't elegant). If you have a paid account you can duplicate the form file, and then delete the responses from the dup form file that you do not want in the summary report. The summary report will only show the responses that are actually in the table - you can then save it to PDF or images for distribution.
Its kinda a hack but it works. Thought this might help in the short term.
That’s perfect. So I collect my data in a single survey. And then I duplicate some of it in a duplicate form file and remove unwanted responses. Is that right?
If that works, we’ll be getting the paid account tomorrow.
In the latest release, the filtering UI will now be available in both the View Responses and Summary Report tabs. When a filter is set it will change the results shown in both tabs. This should provide a lot more flexibility when generating Summary Reports.
