Hi

im working on an interactive project that require playlist feature,

The idea is to have a single button on a page that will play all the sound files on the page in thier order

just like as you play a full album in itunes or other players, when first song end the next one start to play and so on.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Guy

Combine them into one MP3 or re-think your layout.

    1) Place all the audio file in the Indesign document.

    2) Create a button ,

    3) Go to the Button panel , and add multiple actions for "Sound" , and for which actions define audio file name

Now go to the Timing Panel and arrange the sequence of the audio file you want to play , just like the layer panel , (dragging and dropping)

    Check the output.

    Interesting idea, Manish.

Will that work with a PDF? It would help to know what the definition of "interactive project" is.

Don't have time to test this morning but I'm pretty sure that both the Animations panel and the Timing panel don't work in interactive PDF. Only in SWF export.

In the future, when you're posting about an interactivity project, remember that there are three kinds of output from InDesign: Interactive PDF, SWF and DPS. Please be more specific.

Bob, I never got the chance to test it in PDF , just checked and found that all the audio file play together in PDF as if Timing panel functionality is avoided ,

Hence what Steve said is pretty much confirmed , that these panel are for SWF only.

Unfortunately, because of the poor design in the new Jive Software skin that powers these forums, the tags are reversed out of something like 15% black on a 10% black background and are virtualy unreadable!

Never even noticed the tags…and they come through in email.
