Retaking a quiz

Hi everyone,

This is a great forum, I've found so many answers to questions I've had so far but I can't find this one, so if anyone is able to advise I would be really grateful.

I have set up a quiz which is in 4 parts throughout a programme, each part has 3 questions.  I have allowed 2 attempts at each question.

I've set a passmark of 80%.

The users need to pass the quiz, so I have set the number of attempts in quiz preferences to infintie.

When I click on retae quiz, it takes me to the first question, and I get through those first 3 questions, but then it contnues to section 2 of the learning.  Is there a way I can get all 12 questions together rather than having the learning again?

Also, is there a way I can only display the questions that the user got incorrect rather than having to do all 12 again?

Thanks very much for any help anyone is able to offer.

Sarah

No matter how you break up your quiz questions in a given project file, it's just all one big quiz as far as Captivate is concerned.

When you hit the Review Quiz button it will always take you back to the first scored interaction in the project.  That could be a button or a click box as well as a quiz question.

You can use custom variables and Conditional Advanced Actions to dynamically change the navigation path of a user so that after their first attempt they will be skipped over any content slides and stop only at quiz questions.  But you need to consider how this might impact users that WANT to view those content slides a second time.  You might need to give the user a choice about this.

There is no default way to only display the questions the user got wrong when retaking a quiz.  When the user hits Retake Quiz their previous score and answers are wiped.

Quite frankly, that's the way Captivate was designed to work.  Content up front, quiz at the back.  It's not that you cannot sprinkle quiz questions throughout the content, you can, but then it becomes a bit problematic once you also try to use Review or Retake Quiz options.
