I have downloaded and installed Illustrator CS6 but now when i try to open it, it asks that i sign in. But when i attempt to do that, it is saying i am not connected to the internet even though i am. REally need this to work asap! any ideas???
It is likely a problem with your host file. Please review Sign in or activation errors | CS6, CS5.5 Subscriptions, CS6 Perpetual - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-i ssues.html.
You were able to locate the host file and verify there was no entries for Adobe? If you have completed all 4 steps then the only other possible suggestion I have is to look at your software firewall and ensure it is allowing Illustrator and the Adobe Application Manager to access the Internet.
This document from Microsoft should help. How to Configure Windows Firewall on a Single Computer - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc875811.aspx. You would want to set up an exception for Illustrator and the PDApp.exe. You could also just temporarily turn it off and see if the problem persists.
