Photoshop CS6 (mac release version) is FREAKING OUT on external screen

Is it just me having this problem?

 

When I use Photoshop CS6 (released version) on my brand new MBP17 everything is just fine.

Then I pull it to my connected Cinema Display and everything FREAKS OUT.

Every pixel inside the imagewindow is distorted, is flickering etc.

When I pull it back to the MBP screen all is fine. Pull to the Cinema Display again and the freakshow starts anew...

 

Wth is going on? No updates are available.

 

Any other application, including every CS5.5 applications works fine when viewing them on my Cinema Display...

 

Sigh...

    What video card, and what OS version?

     

    What you're describing sounds like another video driver bug.  (in the OpenGL code that most applications don't use)

    MBP17 - AMD Radeon HD 6770M 1024 MB

     

     

    Btw the pixel errors start when I maximize the window on the Cinema Display. Forgot to write that.

    But even if I dont maximize the window is unresponsive and I can't zoom or do anything when Photoshop 6 is sitting  - even unmaximized - on the Cinema Display.

    If I pull it back to the MBP 17 screen everything starts working again...

    Does everything everything work correctly on the Cinema Display if you disable "Use Graphics Processor" in Preferences > Performance?

    I am having the same issue with the same Macbook Pro. I tried unticking the box and nothing works. I will also add that the error is only in the canvas, the tool areas and every other part looks fine.

    Are you using just one video card to handle both displays?  PS does not like 2.

    avhdesign, and Nitellav, could you try to update Photoshop to 13.0.1, then report if you are still facing the issue.

    Avh, what do you mean by"nothing works" when you uncheck "use graphics processor"?

    I was actually pretty dumb. I got it to work after unckecking use graphics processor. I didn't know that I had to restart Photoshop before the change took effect. What does the button do exactly? Does it make anything slower or lower quality?

    This disables OpenGL and the features that it handles, so puts less demand on video card.

    Yes, disabling "use graphics processor" makes the central processor handle many functions, and might disable some videocard ones, liek flick panning, birds eyes view, or the pixel grid.
