After download Flash CS6 trial does not install.

OSX 10.7.3 Double clicking on Install does nothing.

    Do you receive an error message?  What are you double clicking on?

    Hi Jeff,

     

    1. "FlashPro_12_LS16.dmg" opened after download with "Adobe Download Assistant."  (I tried redownloading a few times)

     

    2. open (doubleclick) folder "Adobe Flash Professional CS6"

     

    3. open (doubleclick) "Install" as this seemed to be the most logical thing to click on.

     

    Does that help?  Happy to arrange a call if that helps?

    No error.  The icon does its quick expand and fade then nothing.

    So you don't see initialize installer or anything after that?  Did you have a beta of the software installed previously?  Have you tried installing under a newly created administrator account?

    I see the icon "Install" within "Adobe Flash Professional CS6". No Flash CS6 beta, or any CS6 Beta.  Have not tried Installing under a new admin account. Will try in the AM and let you know.

    I was curious and tried with a fresh admin user.  Same as described unfortunatly.

    And still no errors or anything after invoking the installer?  One last step can we try booting and installing in Safe boot.  You will want to hold the shift key while your Mac restarts until you see Welcome to Mac OS X and Safe Boot.

    I am having a similar issue with CS6 on a PC with Windows xp sp3

    There were no errors.  The Install icon would expand and fade out as if it was launching then nothing.

     

    I restarted in safe mode by holding shift while restating (shings are running very slow) and all went well.  The trial has installd and is running.

     

    This is the first time in many many years I've used safe mode.

     

    fyi here's my current version of AIR:


    		<key>CFBundleVersion</key>

    		<string>3.2.0.2070</string>

     

    I downloaded the trial to my other laptop with the same version of AIR this morning and it seems to be installing without issues.

    @twh1156 please start a new thread.  You are using an entirely different operating system so the steps in this thread are completely unrelated even if you are experiencing similar symptoms.

     

    @Davidgrishaver glad to hear Safe Boot resolved the issue.  Are you utilizing any type of security software or what other items do you see listed if you go to your System Preferences>User&Groups and select login items under your user account.  I ask to help other users in the future and possibly identify what the conflict was.

    I'm not using any secutity software and the only items checked in my login items are:

    iTunesHelperApp

    EEventManager

    and an external volume
