Issues with HTTP Streaming/M3U8 using ALME on MAC

When using ALME on a MAC laptop, the app runs fine and I have zero issues watching the RTMP stream.  But, when I try to view the M3U8 on an iPhone, the video plays for one second then disappears instantly and closes the player.  Same settings on a Windows XP machine play just fine.  Any ideas?
