If you mean page turn (curl), then no, there is no way to have two seperate folds animated that would simiulate a trifold

Not like that. We have made interactive pdfs through InDesign in the past but not with a tri fold layout. The one we made before was used for recipes and such. It had the page curl option and email links, video clips etc...

I will have to make the tri fold open like a regular book some how.

Sounbds like you are thinking of SWF, not PDF -- no page curl effect in PDF.

Yes. Thank you for the output clarification. I would output from InDesign a swf file for the curling effect.

Completely different animal, with different options and limitations available. I don't think you can do the trifold in swf either, but at least knowing the correct format may get better answers.
