Is it Possible to migrate content from teamsite to Adobe CQ ?

Hi

 

I don't know , i am asking stupid question or not, but i would like to know.

 

Is there any way to migrate content from Teamsite to CQ.

1. What are the possibilities we can migrate like components,
templates and pages ?

Any comments are appreciated.

    I have only seen instances where content is migrated using some customized tool.  The approaches I have seen on projects scrape the rendered HTML, convert to XML, and then load into CQ.  So, that approach really has no direct connection to TeamSite itself and can be used to migrate content from a variety of source systems.  Though I would suspect one could connect to TeamSite directly via an API and convert.

    Hi,

     

    Like Jeff wrote there are no standard tools to migrate connect between CQ and other kind of WCM system. In my team we developed custom migration tool for EMC Documentum Platform, which trasform content xml files taken from Documentum repository and creates a xml content structure for CQ repository. All those transformed data then was created as a package and installed in the CQ. Before you start thinking about this kind of tool, you need to know a structure of templates and components in the CQ and then you can start implement a tool which transform html or xml files to xml files used by CQ.
