Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library R6034 error  with CS6

May 9, 2012 12:17 PM

When I start up the 64bit version of Photoshop CS6 I get the R6034 error.  After about 20 times to delete the error message 64bit CS5 starts.  This does not happen with the 32 bit version. How do I fix this?

Did you receive an error message during the installation process?  Also which version of Windows are you using?  Did the 64-bit version ever work?

Moving this discussion to the Photoshop General discussion forum.  Scregl just to verify that the issue is not related to the installation can you please run the Adobe Support Advisor - http://www.adobe.com/support/loganalyzer/ to see if it detects any problems?

    Jeff,

I am another user who has the exact same issue.  I have to click on the error message 22 times than CS6 loads fine.  I didn't have this issue with the beta release version however.

Have you installed any 3rd party plug-ins or add-ons or copied anything from an older version of Photoshop (or set up an Extra Plug-ins Folder)?

No, not as long as you specifically installed them, they should work.  But did you copy any or somehow get them working without an installer?  My thinking here is that if you did maybe you didn't copy everything you needed.

That sounds like you tried to copy plugins from a previous version of Photoshop - which is a bad idea.
