Where are you choosing to download the install files too?  You can complete solution 1 in Troubleshoot Adobe Download Assistant - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-download-assista nt.html#main_Solution_1.

I'm afraid, Jeff, that is not so.  Solution 1 is quite ineffective; as is every other way I've tried to overcome this barrier.   gw0625

Are you choosing to download the install files to your user folder?

You can also initiate a direct download by following the steps listed in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369.

That is another red herring!  Following through the thread you give , I arrive at a point where I'm instructed to download AdobeDownloadAssistant!!!   Which is exactly where the shoe rubs.  I want to download CS6 trial DIRECTLY without the so-called "Assistant" which is not an assistant but a blocker!  It occurs to me, and to many others, that you and your colleagues simply don't know how to resolve this disastrous roadblock and lead us up the creek with invented paths that lead nowhere, or rather to the same roadblock.   You have to wake up your responsible engineers and get them to patch up this glitch.
