I just bought an iPhone 4S and would like to upgrade my OSX from 10.6.8 to 10.7.x in order to get access to iCloud, but I don't want to lose the functionality of CS4 at this time. I plan to upgrade to CS6, but not yet. I'm asking here because I don't want to upgrade to 10.7 only to learn that CS4 doesn't work in that environment. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
Yes. Just tried this. I have Mac OS 10.7.4 and CS4 and CS4 loaded and worked with no problems. Mind you, CS-6 seems to work a good deal better, but CS4 definitely works with the current Apple Mac OS.
I finished installation of Lion 10.7.4 and it works well with InDesign CS4 after a Java Runtime app is installed. A window opened at the end of the installation asking whether or not I wanted to install the Java Runtime. I gladly did it because I saw somewhere that it was the source of the CS4 compatibility problem with earlier releases of 10.7.x. Thanks again for the encouragement..
