GoPro videos will not play back in Premiere CS5.5?

I am using a GoPro and when I import the footage into Premiere Pro CS5.5 and try to play it back, it plays about two seconds and then will not play the rest. Any way to fix this?

Is it just GoPro footage that does not run or other footage as well?
GoPro has a free converter if your system cant handle the footage.
