Can I create actions within PSE? If so, which versions?

I need to give a presentation to a group where some use Elements & others use Photoshop (what I'm most familiar with). I understand that you can use actions that have been made in PS in PSE, but can you create your own?

 

If I can create my own actions in PSE, in which versions can I do it? The latest version I own is 8.0.

 

Thanks for any info you can share.

    PSE can run actions, if it understands the steps (no history snapshot for example), but you must create your actions in full photoshop. No version of PSE can create actions.
