I was previously using the Photoshop CS6 Beta.
I have uninstalled.
I have installed all the Creative Cloud Apps.
Successfully launched Dreamweaver and so on.
Photoshop however prompts this it is a trial and requires a Serial!!!

Please use CS6 cleaner tool to remove left content of any Beta in case and then re-install.

Ok, Lets once again unistall PS CS6 and then Run the Cleaner Tool and try installing PS CS6 again from creative cloud.
Hmnn, that's actually strange. Do you have any other adobe appliactions installed on your machine?
Could you try removing all the adobe CS6 applications and running the Cleaner Tool and then try re-installing PS CS6 from adobe.com
I have the exact same problem as Andy. I have tried everything suggested above. Nothing works. I have been in four chat support sessions, which have been absolutely ridiculous. The support staff does not seem to know wheter you need a license number or not to activate...
I have Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom installed on the same machine. Do you mean I must remoe those as well in order to resolve this issue?

A resolution of sorts.
At this time I am waiting for my monthly Dreamweaver subscription to be upgraded to a yearly Creative Cloud subscription.
I have been advised this takes 2-3 days to invoke (ridiculous in itself).
I therefore expect Monday or Tuesday for this upgrade to have completed.
And I assume at that point that installing the CC Apps will have them licenced correctly without Serial prompt.
This has been nothing but a shambles in my opinion.
I wasted far far too much time over this issue on Friday. Not only did it affect Photoshop but also Acrobat (and who knows it may affect other apps also)
And to be honest I suspected as much there would be problems due to the complete and total lack of information concerning upgrades when CC was launched a couple of weeks back.
Why this basic and obvious upgrade path from montly app subscription to yearly CC subscription could not be invoked automatically god only knows.
As I said. SHAMBLES.
Andy
