There's an annoying user interface bug that's persisted from at least CS5 and still appears in CS6.
On Windows at least, if you get the "Do you wish to overwrite your local file" or "The remote file has changed" dialog when getting/posting to the server, it counts down for 30 seconds and then does the default (a potentially destructive operation). Probably shouldn't do a destructive operation as the default, but that's a function-as-designed, not the bug.
The bug is that if you click in DW outside the dialog (e.g., in the editor window) -- say to return to Dreamweaver after clicking the "Compare" button -- the dialog will be hidden while the countdown continues. No combination of alt-tab/windows-tab, minimixing/maximizing DW will make that dialog come to the top. This prevents you from choosing something other than the default and even if you did want the default, you still have to wait for the countdown to finish.
If this has ever bothered you too, please consider reporting this bug along with me at https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform
Concise problem statement:
Steps to reproduce bug:
1.Get/put file from/to remote server
2.Click "compare" from dialog that says the files might be out of sync
3.When you return to DW after comparing, the modal dialog is hidden by the editor window
Results: cannot select appropriate response; cannot alt-tab or in any way select the dialog
Expected results: a modal dialog should not be hidden by the main window; it should remain visible.
