Hello
I need help with having a text field in a table cell (cell 8) populate with the current date when the user finishes choosing the date in a different cell (cell 4) that is a date/time field. The script I have been trying does not come up with an error but also does not populate the text field. I have not done Java in about 10 years so am basically a beginner again. Any help would be appreciated.
Cell 4 is a date/time field so left as default (e.g. today is May 11, 2012). Cell 8 is an addition for the manager as they want to know when cell 4 was populated to track delays in completing forms. Cell 4 should not be changed/cleared after populated. The people completing table would not change/clear cell 4 after form submitted. This is the current script I have tried:
form1.Main.tblWorkOrder.Row1.Cell4::exit - (JavaScript, client)
var v_day = form1.Main.cell8.rawValue;
var v_day = Date.getDate()
have also tried this.rawValue=getDate() for the second line and it did not work either and forget everything else I have tried.
I hope this explains it a bit more.
ok, thanks

Since you're dealing with a form created in LiveCycle Designer, as opposed to Acrobat, you should post this question, along with the clarification you just provided, in the LiveCycle Designer forum
