I am trying to download Light Room but it is not on the list of desk top applications for Cloud.
Hi Greg,
Lightroom is not included as a part of Creative Cloud applications. To install Lightroom 4, you'd want to visit the Adobe online products page http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-lightroom.html
Also Greg,
There are also a couple other things around this topic I just wanted to ensure you were aware of. Lightroom 4 will be added as one of the products included with Creative Cloud Membership, so if you don't mind waiting (not sure how long) it will be included automatically for you eventually. You could try it out as a trial in the meantime too.
Just click the Try next to Buy on the right-hand side of the page
http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-lightroom.html
Hope that helps,
-Dave
This is extraordinarily irritating. LR4 is the one application that I need Right Now. Photoshop and Illustrator and InDesign can wait. I'd like to get the creative cloud subscription as Acrobat and Dreamweaver and a couple of the other things are stuff I can make use of-but if I have to pay $aus110 to upgrade Lightroom and not get some discount off the creative cloud subscription once Lightroom is available, then I'm not going to do it.
Really this is a poorly planned roll out of the new subscriptions-initial promises to include the ioS apps which didn't materialise, failure to include the full range of apps for ioS ( the one I would really use, Kuler, is not available and AdobeIdeas has suddenly disappeared from the App store), similar promises to include Lightroom and then find its not available at launch.
I've got three weeks left of the LR4 trial. If it isn't included in the Cloud subscription by then, then I'll have to buy it, which means no Cloud for me. Couldn't you give some indication of when it would be available?
So, David_B, how do I interpret this answer? I too have been counting on Lightroom to be part of CC. I am in no rush, and can wait, but I would like to know something before my 30 day backout period for CC ends. The CC FAQ says that Lightroom is coming later in 2012. But, this can mean anything from tomorrow to 12-31-12. I'm not sure I relish waiting a real long time. Can you enlighten us as to an approximate date of availability? Your answer is the first one I have seen from an Adobe employee that seems to allow for the possibility that LR will not be part of CC. Did you mean for it to read that way? LR is important to me, and probably a lot of photography people, because I have no interest in the video editing apps in CC. Thanks very much.

Check the Cloud blog often for updates.
There's no comment from the Cloud team on a date for Lightroom inclusion yet. Later in 2012 is all we've got.
