Graphic moves tho it's position is numerically the same

I have a graphic..a bit of type imported as an AI graphic, which moves when I play the animation in Flash (by hitting the Return key).

 

I check its position before and after I see it move; no change in the position. When I publish, this same element does not move, which is good..but...

 

..the fact that it moves in Flash throws the accuracy of the feedback...is it moving or isn't it? sort of thing..

 

anyone know what the cause and fix for this would be?

    It is not clear what you are doing or what the problem is, but it sounds like maybe the contents of whatever container you are checking the position of are what is moving, not the container itself.

    Picture a bit of type. Picture that I do not want it to move, and according to the numerical values of it's X Y position, it should not move.

     

    HOWEVER

     

    when I play this animation in Flash, this bit of type moves just a little bit at one point. I can find no numerical reason of why it moves. but it does move.

     

    in the SWF, it does not move.
