Do you also notice the progress bar on the top left corner of your screen along with the file that is being uploaded?
What are the sizes of the files that you're trying to upload to the cloud. Depending on the size of the file, it might take a while to upload the files and as long the file has not been uploaded, it won't show you preview of the file being uploaded. Just the spinning squares.
Are you still experiencing the issue? If you haven't tested since this post can you try again when you get the chance and let us know. I think it should work now.
Adobe says they have not received any other reported problens of this nature when I got through to Tech Support. While TS could not fix the problem they promised an answer in 24 hrs. So I guess that means I don't have to work this weekend ;-)
I'm sure they will fix the problems and make it work like hyped, they just need more development time. We all need to be a little patient. Its not like we are paying for it or anything. Adobe is nice enough to give us the chance to work with the Suite as testers for only $50 a month. We ASSUMED it was "production" ready. I went to MAX & PSW and they never actually promised it worked. They only promised to eventually make it work.
I'm going back to the old way of doing things. Once the tester customers get all the bugs worked out I may try again.
MrH. There does not appear to be a reason for it working sometime and than not at others. Try clearing the browser cache, rebooting and keep trying. After a few hours and doing the clearing and rebooting it will eventually start to work. For a little while at least.
What you're saying makes no sense. It isn't sometimey for me. I uploaded a file. My usage bar registers the file space being used, but I can't access the file at all. Clearing the cache does nothing for me.
I'm being patient because I understand that there are bugs that still need to be worked out. But with that said I'm also apprehensive about posting files to my cloud because it seems like files get lost. That's kinda disheartening.
I'm having similar issues...
I am currently using Photoshop and Proto Touch Apps on an iPad and when I try to sync my files to Creative Cloud the progress bar in the files stay empty and don't move.
When I login to the Creative Cloud in Safari or Chrome I don't see any files or any folders that I create.
When I try to create a folder twice with the same name it says there is already a folder with that name, so it must be there. Just not showing up.
Please help me out, let me know if there is something I'm doing wrong.
MrHolly, I feel your frustration as this morning I again have this same issue!!!
I make no excuses for Adobe Cloud but have come to the realization that as far as Cloud Services are concerned Adobe is not able to deliver them at this time, admits it can't and while not coming right out and saying it, is depending on its paying customers to evaluate and test the Cloud while they build it. With that said, there is some good to be said of the Creative Cloud. If you have not previously used all the software included in the Creative Suite the $32/month subscription is a good thing that lets you try all of the software. If however, like me you only really use Dreamweaver and Photoshop you lost a lot of money jumping on the Creative Cloud band wagon.
I can only tell you what I and my company have decided to do. We are going to continue the Adobe Cloud Subscription for the year and ensure we use EVERY piece of software we can. If we don't use it we are going to find someone who can! We are purchasing DVD upgrades to those software titles we do use regularly so that at the end of the year we'll have software we can still use. We have, as of this morning, totally given up on Adobe's files in the cloud vision as being a determent to our business. We are currently evaluating Apple’s iCloud and Google Drive as being a possible solution provider to Adobe’s files in the cloud vision.
Yes, as a photographer, Chief Technology Officer and a stake holder in my company I am disappointed in Adobe but more disappointed in myself for believing the hype over Adobe Creative Cloud. I’ve made 3 bad and costly business decisions recently; MAX, Photoshop World Conference and making the boss buy 3 subscriptions. As business people the best we can do is make the best of this situation.
I know for me and my company we will not be attending anymore Adobe conferences or purchasing any new software or services from Adobe. Instead we are going to use only proven technology and try not to embrace the “bleeding edge”. For me I’ve lost faith in Adobe that use to be such a great company. It appears they’ve taken a playbook from Microsoft by releasing software and services that are not ready and are buggy, knowing that their customers had no choice but to upgrade as they have become the biggest boy on the block.
So here are your choices MrHolly, as I see them; keep using the Adobe cloud for files while providing the much needed feedback that Adobe is counting on to develop their files in the cloud vision or find another service that can provide what Adobe hyped the cloud to be. Let’s be honest, we are not going to throw away our Adobe software because their cloud doesn’t work. We know it and they know we know it.
I’ll see you over at iCloud or Google Drive
