Video Mosaics

Hello all! I'm trying to achieve an effect like the one shown in the link. It's a video mosaic. A whole bunch of videos that when zoomed out, form one big video. I've been trying to figure this out for the past few days, but I have yet to make a real breakthrough. Does anyone know of anyway to achieve this? Please help! I'm losing sleep! And i'm leaving on a plane to London in a little over 24 hours! Losing my mind here just a bit. so please help! cheers

    Save a good representative frame of every clip as an image, then use a photo mosaic software to create a reference pattern. Rebuild it in AE base on that. All otehr methods I know of involve eitehr 3D programs with particle systems and texture based emission or even more convoluted stuff.

    That way does make sense. Still is going to be super time consuming. But that can definitely work. But what about the video part. How do I get all the small videos to make up the big video?
