download trouble

I have downloaded the abode flash player but it keeps telling me to install it again and again!

    Make sure to run with administrative privileges when installinbg it and temporarily turn off your virus scanner/ firewall. Something is simply blocking the plug-ins and the isntall never finishes.

    Hi, I can't seem to download flash player. I had an old version, but was having trouble updating it, so I tried uninstalling it (which I have managed to do) in order to re-install the software ...but now I can't install it at all.

     

    I have Mac OS X 10.5.8 with an intel processor, nothing seems to work, the installation links do nothing. The web browser I am using is Safari 5.0.6. Please help!
