I have Windows 8 CP and the trial Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 is not starting! Please help!
EDIT 1: The download is not starting... and I have a 64-bit computer!
I'm also having the same issue.
Adobe Air starts, I hit agree, and then it just closes itself. This is not the first time I've had an issue downloading from you guys, and it doesn't look like it wil lbe the last.
Navigating the Adobe website and trying to find and download the product you want has got to be one of the single most frustrating experiences I keep having to go through (I've never been able to get it to work within the first 3 hours of me trying). Seriously, you guys make good products, but this is starting to border on ridiculous. Just provide us with a direct download- goodness gracious!
EDIT: The last time I got a download to work (It was CS5.5) I just kept trying and eventually it "worked". I'd prefer to not do that again.
This is happening to me too when trying to download a trial version of InDesign from the Adobe site. Adobe Download Assistant opens and shows InDesign as the product being downloaded, but the download never makes any progress. I don't get any option to choose where to install to.
There's also a "Products You May Like" bit to the right of the download queue, which suggests CS Design and Web Premium. When I select "Download" for that, I get a folder browser to select where I want to download to. The default selection there is a folder that has read-only access, which I can't change without changing the registry -- rather not do that just to download a file. I am guessing that the Download Assistant may be trying to add InDesign to the same read-only folder?
EDIT: Yeah, so closing and re-opening Download Assistant, navigating to InDesign, and then selecting a different folder to download to got the download started...
