So I was using DXtory to record game play utilzing this codec (x264vfw - h>264/mpeg-4 AVC codec) and when I play the video its fine you can see all the images when I try to place it into Elements it just shows up as an audio file.
It also only holds the audio from ingame (not my microphone)
The codec is d/l here: http://www.mediafire.com/?kse487kvnsc1rcu
Very frustrating as with this codec my files come out at about 350mb compared to 4gb in a short video.
SO i did and heres the info it gave me
File Length Correct
OpenDML (AVI v2.0)
Video: 326 MB (93.18%)
Audio: 11.9 MB (3.40%)
AVI Overhead: 11.9 MB (3.42%)
|[ISRC]||Video:x264vfw - H.264/MPEG-4 AVC codec Audio0:Speakers (VIA High Definition Audio) Audio1:Microphone (VIA High Definition Audio)|
Not sure if thats the info you were looking for.
also under video
Name H.264/MPEG-4 AVC (codecs are installed)
Unfortunately, Adobe NLE (Non Linear Editor) programs have had issues with H.264 inside of the AVI wrapper. The workflow has been to use another utility to rewrap into the more common MP4 wrapper.
It was not until PrPro CS 6, that the code was rewritten to handle the H.264 in the AVI wrapper. Maybe with PrE 11?
