That particular error means that you have a problem with your OS install (it's missing a function that should be there).

Which OS version are you running?

And is there any chance that you had problems installing one of the OS service packs?

I'm another user who is getting the error:

The Procedure entry point GetLogicalProcessorInformation Could not be located in the Dynamic link Library KERNEL32.dll

I'm running Windows XP SP2.

(For what it's worth, I also have a properly functioning CS5 installation.)

Any ideas? I'd hate to be stuck unable to run PS CS6.

Thanks much,

Don

You need XP SP3, which is the minimum requirement to run Photoshop CS6.

Try installing Windows XP Service Pack 3.

It's listed as Recommended for DW (for Photoshop CS6 it's essential)

I think is better you upgrade to windows 7, these are issue of escort incompatibility...

I wonder, why would you buy a $700 state of the art graphics package and try to run it on a 10 year old operating system?

You speak as though being able to run the older software should mean that the newest software should run okay.  Technology marches on.  Know that even with XP service pack 3 you won't get GPU acceleration.
