When I import MPEG4 videos I do not get any sound. The sound is on the original and plays fine.

In that MP4, what CODEC is used for the Audio?
What channels does the Audio appear on?
When you Imported that file, did you let Conforming complete 100%?

Where exactly did you get those MPEG 4 videos?
They are just listed as quicktime movies
But I THINK THEY ARE MPEG4
Premiere Pro sometimes has a problem reading audio files but all you have to do is delete the audio cache files and reboot premiere pro and it should work fine...I made a tutorial and put it on youtube. check it out it should fix your problem...
How do I figure out what codec it is recorded in.
