cs5 keeps crashing

May 14, 2012 10:34 AM

Hey everyone, so PS CS5 keeps crashing on me and I cannot figure out why. I'm running windows 7, latest updates on toshiba m645 (broke college guy...hehe).  I was editing some pics from a recent backpacking trip when I noticed it wouldn't save properly, restarted computer and now it just keeps crashing when I open it.  I got all the updates, no go. uninstalled and reinstalled, no go so I'm baffled, hoping someone smarter than me can help.

here's a copy paste of my event viewer:

As you can see from the report, your Nik Selective Palette plugin is crashing.  Please contact Nik for updates to their plugin.

Remove all the Nik plugins. If they were all uninstalled, then you couldn't be crashing in them.

Also, you're using Photoshop 12.0.0 -- you skipped several updates (which you should go download and install after you remove the Nik plugins).

    gloosie88,

You should be in Photoshop 12.0.4 or 12.1.
