I'm working on a digital catalog and my client wants the final piece to be identical on both iPad and as an interactive pdf viewable on their website. Is this possible using these products? It's clear that the folio and builder panels will produce an app, but can you export as another file format for online viewing (accessible on computers)? We have a media viewer available the site. Any help would be appreciated!
You'll need to create a PDF for the website. The DPS tools will produce content that can be viewed on tablet devices, but the interactive PDF will have to be produced separately.
Thank you, what would you use to produce an interactive pdf? Indesign? It seems weird that you'd have to essentially make two different documents just for different ways of viewing. Thanks again.
I agree it isn't ideal, however the underlying technologies and supported interactivity are quite different.
I'm realy not well-versed in how to create interactive PDFs. Hopefully another forum regular will be able to give you some pointers.
Thank you. Will an interactive pdf be viewable on an ipad? I understand the backend is very different, but as both a designer and consumer, the backend is irrelevent to both audiences. This makes no sense.
