I am running out of space on my mac and it is slowing down a but so I think it is time for a new hardrive. Is there anyway I can transfer Dreamweaver to this new hardrive or would I need to use my second download?
Don't forget to export your site definitions and snippets to a safe place for import later.
I can't imagine a simple, reliable way to "move" an installed application to another hard drive.
I am not a Mac person, but on a PC if you are wanting to replace the drive to a "larger" and "faster" hard drive, you could ghost your system and just replace the drive. It basically images your old drive to you new one, no need to replace anything, I am not sure if you can do this on a Mac, but it works great on a PC as I have done it a few times it it has always worked. I have saved my old drives as backups.

So will I just have to download it again on the new hardrive like I did the first time and just use my second download? I have a macbook pro with dreamweaver cs5.5 student edition.
Why did'nt you back-up your first download. I normally copy the installer to a cd. Then you can just install it from the cd.
If you don't have the installer locally it's most likey that you will have to download it from your Adobe account where they keep a list of all your downloads and just do a complete re-install.
