Last year my Mac crashed. The company hosting my Web site managed to provide me a backup copy of it. The backup exists in this form:
On a CD named for my company. (I suppose it could have any name.)
Inside, loose, 54 files which = 38.2 MB. Mostly pages. Five or six folders.
What is the best way for me to import or copy those 54 files into GoLive?
I'm hoping the links are all still kosher.
I'm hoping for a simple 1, 2, 3, answer.
My goal is to make some changes then reupload.
But first gotta open it up and make sure it's all working properly.
Thank you.
Seems to work. So far mine had a slightly different series of steps or words:
File menu–>New Site–>Single USer Re: How do I Importi a site into GoLive? –>Import from Folder
I tried importing a version of the site I knew was unusable (so as to keep the original I plan to reuse pristine while I experimented on a bum file). It appears that all the bugs on all the pages relate to two image files which should be in the Components folder which, in this case, is empty. One image atop almost every page is gone/lost/disappeared/nowhere and not in Components, but I planned to change it anyway so no loss. The other is a simple end of page graphic I need to redesign anyway. So perhaps a long afternoon's scutwork creating the two new graphic devices and hitting every page to remake the link. Scutwork is perfect for certain days.
Thanks for the headstart. More, if and when.
