Really feel silly asking but . . .
Just upgraded to CS 5.5 from CS3. Can't seem to find the tool palette (slection arrows, type tool, etc.)
Try hitting the Tab key with nothing selected...
Hi Peter;
Tabbing works in Illustrator but not InDesign.
In CS3, under the Window menu, there was a Tool selection. This is missing in CS5.5 or just my installation?
Chris
It's remotely possible that it's missing in a workspace, so try Window >Workspace > and either reset the current one, or pick another, but you've reported enough differnt problems today that I really think your ID install is hosed.
When I first installed CS5.5, I set up my Workspace and saved it. Now when I invole it, the tools are still missing.
I'll try your suggestion in my other post.
Thanks;
Do the tools show up in the default workspaces? What about when you RESET your custom space?
Tried them all; nada. Should Tools be listed under the Window menu or have they moved it in CS5.5?
Should be ther unless it's hidden inthe menu and the menu is included in the workspace. Is ther a Show All Menu Commands at the bottom of the menu?
Hi Pete;
As I mentioned in my other thread, all seems to be fine now after un- and re-installing inDesign. Thanks for your help.
